Live squid as bait is one of the best ways to catch most bottom dwelling foragine species like fingermark (Golden Snapper), Pink Snapper etc. but can be a little tricky to rig up.
In this post we use a squid jig to catch some live squid as bait for our fingermark session.

A cast net or scoop net can also be used when they are plentiful.
Smaller squid are rigged a bit differently to larger models and this is depicted in depth in the video.
To use live squid as bait you first have to catch and rig them. We show you how in the video. Then hold on tight for the fishing action as we rig them up and get monstered by huge Fingermark Golden Snapper.
Clearly… it works!
